Andrew B. Farmer, DMD

A native of southeastern Kentucky, Dr. Farmer’s desire was always to return home to provide quality and professional oral health care to the children of this area. He considers it an honor to be in a position to positively impact so many lives. His skill and expertise allow him to manage a wide range of pediatric dental services. He will gladly discuss your child’s treatment needs and most appropriate options to complete the treatment. Dr. Farmer looks forward to meeting each new patient and developing a trusting relationship with your family. Dr. Farmer is happily married to his beautiful and loving wife, Crystal, and they have two children; Sawyer John Pierce and Saylor Drew!

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky, he completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2010. Dr. Farmer continued on to complete his post-doctoral residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in 2012. Dr. Farmer is a board certified pediatric dentist, having completed the board certification requirements set forth by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Board Certification provides assurance to the public that Dr. Farmer has not only successfully completed accredited training, but also completed a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills, and experience which ensure the delivery of quality patient care.

Dr. Farmer is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Kentucky Dental Association.

Dr. Courtney Collett

Dr. Courtney Collett was born and raised in Leslie County, Ky. She attended Alice Lloyd College where she attained her Bachelors in Biology and Minor in Chemistry. She was accepted into the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry in 2010, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After dental school she returned home and practiced dentistry for two years. Within this time she realized her true love was for the treatment of children. She continued her training in 2016 at the University of Kentucky where she earned a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Collett has successfully completed Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses. Additionally, she is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and Kentucky Dental Association. When away from the office, Courtney loves spending time with her husband, step sons, baby and dog! They now reside in Leslie County where they are close to their family and friends. Dr. Collett is now returning home and joining Farmer Pediatric Dentistry practice to help meet the demands of oral health care services.

Our Staff

Mandy Bailey, Office Manager & Dental Surgery Coordinator

Mandy has been working with our team since August 2014. She is responsible for coordinating all surgery protocols, including obtaining insurance authorizations and scheduling all dental surgeries. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask Mandy, and she will be glad to assist you. Outside of the office, she is happily married and a proud mother of her two children, Lexi and Rhett. Mandy enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Ashley Holland, Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Ashley completed her dental assisting education from Bluegrass Community and Technical College in 2010 and is also certified in Coronal Polishing . She has been working as a certified dental assistant since then. At our office, she performs dental assisting tasks and places restorations and sealants, among other duties. Ashley is very skilled in dental assisting, loves smiling and works hard to give others reasons to smile, too! She joined our team in 2015 and is a perfect fit. Her goal is to ensure your child feels secure in our office! She is a devoted wife and mother to her son, Rylan. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and reading a good book.

Kayla Watts, Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Kayla became part of our team in 2012. She completed her expanded function dental assistant education at the University of Kentucky’s College of Dentistry and is also certified in Coronal Polishing. At our office, she performs dental assisting tasks and places restorations and sealants, among other duties. Kayla has a unique ability to make your child feel right at home in our office. She truly enjoys her job at FPD and loves working with children! In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, gardening with her Papaw, and building memories with her niece and nephews.

Katlin Pollard, Front Desk Coordinator

Katie joined the FPD family August of 2018. When you come into the office, you will be greeted with her welcoming smile. Katie is always available to assist you with questions about appointments. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and anything outdoors. Her greatest joy is spending time with her husband, and daughters, Keylee and Kayonna.

Madison Stump, Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Madison joined our team in 2017. She has completed an Expanded Duties Dental Assisting program and is certified in Coronal Polishing. She loves working with children and strives to make every child feel happy and comfortable in our office. Madison loves spending time with her family, and fiancé, Dustin. She also enjoys Disney movies, four-wheeling, and traveling.

Brittany Risner, Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Brittany became a member of the FPD team in 2018. She has completed an expanded duties dental assisting program, and hopes to later become certified in coronal polishing as well. She loves working with children and strives to make them feel comfortable as possible at all times. Brittany loves spending time with her family and friends and loves to travel.

Samantha King, Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Samantha joined our team in summer of 2018. She completed her dental assisting education frim Big Sandy Community and Technical College where she was certified in both Coronal Polishing and Expanded Duties Dental Assisting. Samantha has always felt a calling for working with children and is very glad that she got to start her career doing so. She does her very best to ensure each and every child feels at home in our office. Her goal is to treat the patients to the best of her ability and meet the needs of each individual whether that be treating a sick tooth or being a good listener. In her free time Samantha enjoys spending time with her Fiance, family, and dogs!
